DENVER (AP) – The Original HoneyBaked Ham Co. of Georgia Inc. says it has investigated allegations of sexual harassment at a Colorado store and has taken unspecified actions.
The federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sued the company last week, alleging that Highlands Ranch store general manager James Jackman solicited female employees for sex, fondled them and commented on their bodies.
The suit says that after employee Wendy Cabrera complained, she was chastised for making poor personnel hires. She was fired in May 2010.
The company released a statement Tuesday saying it doesn’t tolerate sexual harassment. The statement says the company investigated the allegations when they arose last year.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and back pay for Cabrera.
No phone listing could be found for Jackman.
