Laporte Police Investigate Series Of Suspicious Fires
LAPORTE, Colo. (CBS4) - The Larimer County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help getting information on several suspicious fires that have occurred recently in the Laporte area.
Authorities said the fires began about six months ago and have occurred sporadically since. There have been five fires in total. The most recent fire occurred over the weekend.
"So far, no one has been hurt in the fires. Investigators are actively investigating these incidents but are looking for additional information," John Schulz with the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
Schulz said the property damage so far has been minor.
All of the fires have happened between midnight and dawn. Some of the neighbors have told police they believe they know the identity of the suspect.
Authorities are asking residents to report any suspicious activity.
