Man Charged In Murder Of Army Vet

DENVER (CBS4)- A man suspected of murdering an Army veteran has been formally charged. Ricky Scott is charged with one count of first degree murder in the death of Sergeant Anthony Silva.

Police believe Scott met the victim, Silva, 25, at a bar near the motel where Silva was staying. Scott is suspected of shooting and killing him. Scott, 22, was identified as a suspect by the Denver Police Department's Homicide Unit.

Scott was arrested on Aug. 26. He remains in custody in the Denver Detention Center where he is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow to be formally advised of the charge.
