Man Hurt In Explosion In Denver House

DENVER (CBS4) – A man was hospitalized Wednesday night after an explosion blew a wall off a home.

It happened at about 8 p.m. at a home in the 14,000 block of 43rd Avenue.

Neighbors came running out to see what happened after the blast. They said a man who walked out of the home was on fire.

The man was recovering at University Hospital on Thursday morning.

Fire crews say the man was painting in the basement of the home when it exploded. It’s not clear if he was the owner of the home or doing work to remodel it.
