GEORGETOWN, Colo. (CBS4) – Loveland Pass is back open after a semi truck rolled over Saturday morning.
The incident happened after 9 a.m. near the Loveland Ski Area. The pass opened up after being closed for nearly 8 hours.
The Colorado State Patrol says the driver lost control at a hairpin curve and the truck rolled over.
The driver was not hurt, but the truck spilled nearly 4,000 gallons of diesel fuel. Troopers say the driver was going too fast and was cited for careless driving.
Georgetown officials say their water supply was not threatened.
