Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing In South Denver

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened Monday afternoon in South Denver.

Police said around 2 p.m. members of the Denver Fire Department were sent to the 2300 block of South Monaco Street on the report of an individual that was unresponsive.

"Fire personnel discovered that the victim had sustained a stab wound and notified police. The victim was transported to Swedish Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased," police said in a prepared statement.

Police said the victim was found by a roommate who called for help.

No details about a suspect have been released.
