Clydesdales Training Site Leaving Fort Collins
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A Colorado training site for Budweiser Clydesdales is being moved to New Hampshire.
Hundreds of the Anheuser-Busch horses have trained for public appearances in Fort Collins. The (Loveland) Reporter-Herald reports that the company will move the Fort Collins training program to a stable in Merrimack, N.H., which already houses many of the horses.
Six employees will move with the horses. Jeff Knapper, general manager of Clydesdale operations for the brewery, told the newspaper that the new training facility will launch a new program to train hitch drivers.
A team of 10 Clydesdales will remain in Fort Collins for appearances in the Western region.
