DENVER (CBS4) – A man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman to death in Denver Sunday evening.
Sonny Jackson with Denver police said officers responded to a violence incident occurring in the 1000 of South Eliot Street around 10:10 p.m.
“Officers responded to the scene and found a female who appeared to be suffering from stab wounds. She was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead,” Jackson said in a statement.
Jackson said neighbors heard a loud disturbance taking place and called police.
“The neighbors then went to the scene and found the injured victim. They detained a male suspect until police arrived,” Jackson said.
Police arrested Roberto Santistevan, 53, for investigation of first-degree murder.
The victim’s identity has yet to be released.
