DENVER (AP) – Denver police have arrested a woman and her friend after the death of the woman’s baby.

Police spokesman Matt Murray says 10-month-old Adam Gonzales was pronounced dead Friday morning at a north Denver home.

Frances Garcia, 23, was arrested on a child abuse charge, and the boy’s 24-year-old mother, Amanda Lujan, was arrested on a charge of being an accessory to murder after the fact.

Police haven’t released other details.

An autopsy is scheduled Saturday to determine what might have caused the baby’s death.
