Major Damage Caused From Buckling Along Parker Road

PARKER, Colo. (CBS4) - This week's sweltering heat caused major damage along Parker Road.

On Tuesday part of the northbound lanes near the city of Parker buckled. When the pavement gets really hot, it expands and buckles when there is nowhere to go.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said the temperature of the road surface reached 147 degrees Tuesday.
