Pueblo Fire Ban Remains In Effect
PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - Despite recent heavy rains, Pueblo is keeping its fire ban in effect.
Sheriff Kirk Taylor says he and fire officials are watching the weather closely and he may ease fire restrictions this weekend, according to the Pueblo Chieftain.
Taylor instituted a countywide fire ban in mid-June after weeks of drought conditions brought fears of grass fires as well as the possibility of buildings catching fire in populated areas.
