ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Rep. Diana DeGette has re-introduced new legislation for stem cell research.
DeGette spoke at Craig Hospital Wednesday to mark the introduction of the Stem Cell Research Advancement Act. She says the health and economic potential of stem cells are endless.
If the legislation is passed it would also allow research to be conducted without being interrupted.
Degette is the leading advocate of stem cell research. She was also behind an earlier version that passed in the House and Senate before it was vetoed by President Bush.
