Thousands Of Cyclists Cross The Finish Line For Bike MS

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4)- Approximately 3,000 cyclists rode 150 miles this weekend from Westminster to Fort Collins and back for this year's Bike MS. The ride benefits Multiple Sclerosis research and helps raise awareness.

CBS4 had a team among those riding in the race. Pedaling all the way to fight MS were CBS4's own Jim Benemann and Karen Leigh.

"It was great to be a part of it. Three thousand riders for all the people who have multiple sclerosis. It's good to be able to ride, so it was fun. Next year I'll train more," said Leigh.

This year's goal of Bike MS is to raise $3.4 million. Last year $3.2 million was raised for the National MS Society.
