Wild Land Fire Burning Near Allenspark
BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Boulder County Task Force crews are responding to help fight a wild land fire burning on National Parks land.
The Taylor Mountain Fire has burned one to two acres in timber and slash piles near mile marker 14 on Highway 7 near Allenspark.
A single engine air tanker has made three drops of retardant on the fire. Hand crews and trucks are on scene, trying to get water to fight the fire.
There are no structures are threatened. The closest homes are approximately one mile away.
Crews from the U.S. Forest Service, Allenspark, Boulder County and possibly Lefthand Canyon are helping fight the fire.
What caused the fire is being investigated.
