With Snow Not Melting, Vail Opens Up Mountain To Tubers

VAIL, Colo. (CBS4) - People who enjoy tubing down rivers and streams in Colorado may be in for a bit of a rough ride this month with all the water running hard and fast from all the snowmelt.

Tubers looking for a smoother ride might consider heading to the high country, where all the snow that's still on the mountains has allowed Vail to open the top of its mountain up for tubing.

Vail says they have never had tubing this late in the season before.

CBS4 interviewed several tubers, some from Texas, who were very excited to be flying down a hill of snow in June.
