DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver continue to search for a man who robbed a bank inside a King Soopers. The suspect was believed to be hiding inside a Home Depot store. Officers searched the store but did not find him.

The bank robbery happened at about 1:30 p.m. at a Bank of the West branch at 3102 S. Sheridan inside the King Soopers store.

The suspect is described as a white man, 40 to 50 years old, 6’2″ tall, 190 pounds, with a slim build.

Witnesses believe the man ran into a nearby Home Depot store at 3130 S. Sheridan Blvd. That store was locked down for about an hour while officers searched inside.

“Even our customers who were coming over here they were kind of afraid, this is too close for comfort,” said liquor store clerk Alexia Kim.

“They said somebody robbed the bank and then ran over by King Soopers and then into the Home Depot,” said one witness.

No one was hurt during the bank robbery.
