SHAWNEE, Colo. (CBS4) – Officials in Park County closed Highway 285 for about an hour Thursday morning after a chase and crash that left one person hurt.

The chase started at about 9:30 a.m. after officers saw a male driver passing cars dangerously and speeding.

The vehicle crashed on the highway between Grant and Shawnee, just west of Bailey, after reaching speeds of more than 100 mph.

The driver was injured in the crash and was taken to a hospital in Denver.

Investigators with the Colorado State Patrol were investigating the crash.
