DENVER (CBS4) – Yes, that was Iron Mike Ditka strolling around downtown Denver Tuesday morning. He was in town to speak at the annual Jewish Family Service Luncheon.
Ditka says he sides with the owners in the NFL power struggle.

“Kyle Orton is a good football player. I’ve watched him play at Purdue, I’ve watched him play for the Bears; he’s a good football player. The guy you got, people ask me about Tebow, I would play Tebow,” Ditka said. “That doesn’t make me right, but I would go to war with him because, as I said, you can’t coach character, and you can’t coach leadership, and he has those.”
Ditka said he doesn’t care if Tebow isn’t that great at throwing the football.
“Throw it underhand for all I care. The guys a winner,” Ditka said.
Watch the Southwest Airlines All Access this Sunday at 10:35 p.m. for an exclusive interview with Ditka.
