'Ho Hum Bandit' Suspected Of Robbing 23 Banks In 4 States
DENVER (CBS4)- FBI agents arrested the man they believe is the "Ho Hum Bandit" in Denver late Monday. Adam Lynch, 34, is accused of robbing the Chase Bank located at 1705 North Sheridan Blvd. in Edgewater on March 16.
A federal grand jury returned the one-count indictment charging Lynch with the robbery on Tuesday. In convicted of the bank robbery, Lynch faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
The FBI is investigating Lynch's involvement in 23 additional bank robberies in four states, including California, Washington, Wyoming and Colorado. Additional charges against Lynch in those bank robberies are possible.
Lynch is from Dublin, Ireland. The FBI isn't saying how long he's been in the U.S. He has no prior criminal history on record.
