Douglas County 7th Richest County In The U.S.
DENVER (CBS4) - Forbes magazine has released its list of richest counties in the U.S. and Douglas County ranks seventh.
Douglas County is home to Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree and Castle Rock. The median income in Douglas County for 2009 was $99,000.
Five of the Top 10 counties surround the nation's capitol. Falls Church, Va. was No. 1. Los Alamos, N.M. was the only other western county to break the Top 10.
