Lakewood Girls Basketball Coach Arrested On Sex Charges

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Lakewood on Thursday announced the arrest of high school coach who allegedly had a sexual relationship with a female student.

Wesley Adam Specht, 26, coached the girl's basketball team at Alameda High School. He was arrested on Wednesday night and was advised in court of the several charges he now faces, including sex assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.

Authorities say Specht committed the assaults last year and this year at three or four different locations. There appears to be only one victim in the case.

The Jefferson County School District, which employed Specht as a contract employee, said he is no longer working for the district.
