Denver Could Get Japan Evacuee Flights

DENVER (AP) - Denver International Airport is preparing to receive possible flights of American evacuees from Japan.

Airport officials were advised Sunday that flights could be arriving as early as this week.

Currently, the Department of Defense flights from Japan are landing in Anchorage, Seattle and San Francisco. DIA says some of those flights could be sent to Colorado as those airports reach capacity.

The flights aren't expected to affect regular operations at the airport.
