Apartments Evacuated In Lakewood After Car Hits Gas Meters
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Two dozen families were evacuated from their homes after a car hit several gas meters.
It happened at the Heights Apartment Complex at Wadsworth and Mansfield at about 8:15 p.m. Friday.
No one was hurt in the crash. Xcel Energy crews evacuated the building as a precaution. The gas has been turned off.
Crews are working to repair the lines. No word on when they'll turn the gas back on or when residents will be able to return home.
