Echo Mountain Launching $5 Friday Night Skiing Soon

IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – Echo Mountain is celebrating its fifth season as a ski and snowboard area by offering $5 lift tickets for Friday night skiing, starting March 18.

The tiny ski area about 35 miles from downtown Denver has about 85 acres of trails and terrain on private land. Tickets for night skiing between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. are usually $32.

Echo Mountain is known as a hangout for terrain park fans who like to ride and jump off manmade features. But it’s been trying to broaden its appeal to all beginners, families looking for affordable skiing, and Denver-area residents trying to sneak in a few runs without driving too far.
