Vigil Held For Tow Truck Driver Dragged To Death

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4/AP) - With lights flashing and horns honking, tow truck drivers from across Colorado held a vigil Saturday night to remember Allen Rose, 35.

Rose was killed Wednesday after he attached a chain to an illegally parked SUV and was preparing to tow it when it drove away. Investigators said the chain snapped and Rose somehow got entangled in it and was dragged for more than a mile.

The driver of the SUV, Detra Farries,32, was arrested Friday night. She was booked into the El Paso County Jail on manslaughter charges.
Tow truck drivers drove the same route that Rose was dragged to remember him on Saturday.

Many of the tow truck drivers brought candles and flowers to the place where the SUV stopped.

Police are still investigating exactly what led to Rose's death.
