Haxtun High School Teacher Arrested In Sexual Assault Case

HAXTUN, Colo. (CBS4)- A Haxtun High School math teacher is being held in the Yuma County Jail for charges of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust and sexual exploitation of a child.

Roy Pfaltzgraff III was put on administrative leave on Feb. 16 from the Haxtun School District. Pfaltzgraff, 34, was arrested Feb. 18.

He appeared in court on Tuesday, Feb. 22 for a bond and advisement hearing.

The Phillips County Sheriff Department will not confirm whether the child in the case is a student at Haxtun High School.
