Save Money And Cook Delicious Food

DENVER (CBS4)- If you're trying to save money on groceries and spice up your cooking, there is a website that's gaining in popularity. "Food On The Table" has just arrived in Colorado. Fans said it does everything but cook for you.

Here's how it works, type in what you feel like for dinner, and what your neighborhood groceries are, and the site does just about everything else.

"It brings up all these recipes, chicken, pork, vegetarian," said Kaitlyn Schroyer. "I was sick of the same old recipes week after week."

You decide what tempts your taste buds and choose your recipe. It lists the ingredients and scans local supermarket to find the best prices for what you need.

"It makes it so easy, it prints it up, you can send it to your iPhone," said Kaitlyn's mom Linda. "It saved us money the first week, we saved $28."

The recipe of choice is beef stroganoff. In this dish, there are only 6 ingredients and it takes less than 15 minutes to prepare.

"All the recipes come with reviews from others who have made it," said Kaitlyn.

It's free if you want three recipes per week. If you want more, there is a fee of $5-$9, depending on how many recipes you want.

The website also gives you the nutritional information for recipes.
