WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4)– Two people escaped unharmed from a fire that broke out in a basement of a home near 95th and Federal Saturday morning.
Firefighters rushed to the home to find a fully-involved fire in the basement.
They used heat-sensing equipment before attacking the fire and found it was burning very hot, because of a near simultaneous ignition of all combustible material.
No one inside the home was hurt, however two pet birds died in the fire.
What caused the fire is being investigated. The home has extensive fire, heat and water damage.
