Hickenlooper Appoints Another Cabinet Member
DENVER (AP) – Gov.-elect John Hickenlooper has announced another Cabinet choice.
On Tuesday, he appointed Reggie Bicha to head the Department of Human Services.
Bicha was secretary of the Department of Children and Families for the state of Wisconsin.
The Democrat also appointed Henry Sobanet to be director of the governor’s Office of State Planning and Budgeting. Sobanet also served as GOP Gov. Bill Owens’ budget director.
Hickenlooper said the current budget director, Todd Saliman, will stay on for several months as an adviser. He has made six appointments so far, leaving another 11.
The inauguration is Jan. 11, but Hickenlooper says the appointments might not be finished until after he takes office.
