Human Waste Takes Over Family's Trailer Home

FEDERAL HEIGHTS, Colo. (CBS4) - A Federal Heights family is glad to be out of their home for good after raw sewage flooded their trailer.

Courtney Scott lived in the trailer home until human waste took it over. Scott says sewage gushed out of their toilets, bathtub, and even kitchen sink last week. Days later the smell was still unbearable.

Scott says the insurance adjuster told her the damage is some of the worst he's ever seen.

"He came in and didn't realize that it had completely gone through our floors, it had gone up our walls, it's got to have gone into the electricity because it's gone over some of the outlets," Scott said.

Scott says sewage maintenance was being done up the hill from her trailer home at the same time her home was invaded by the human waste.

The health department encouraged the family to see a doctor because of their exposure to the raw waste.
