Arctic Blast For Colorado

The first arctic front of the season raced across Colorado Wednesday ushering in wind, snow and frigid temperatures. The coldest night of the fall season will occur in Colorado Wednesday night with lows dropping into the single digits across the metro area and subzero temperatures in the high country.

It's not uncommon to see this kind of cold air blast the state this time year the lowest temperature ever recorded in November was -18 back in 1877. One of the more recent arctic outbreaks took place in 1993, that's when Denver experienced a morning low of -8 degrees on the 24th. While our morning lows the next couple of morning will be below normal (which is 20 degrees) we will see temperatures recover quickly by Saturday morning lows will be in the 20s.
