In addition to all of those festivals, you can also participate in a huge variety of charitable causes. After all, Denver has a strong reputation for having the biggest turnouts for 5K walks and other charitable events. So grab a few friends and check out these unique ways to help charity in Denver. The Denver Undy 5000 is a fun way to raise some money to raise awareness of colon cancer. This race encourages you to run in your underwear as you race around the timed event. Instead of the usual race t-shirts, all participants get a pair of Undy 5000 boxers, and you’ll be able to walk through a giant inflatable colon at the park. What other charity can claim that? In addition to the chip/tag timed 5K, there will also be a one-mile fun run for the whole family, so everyone can participate in this important and fun race. This is a huge national walk with branches in every major city but Denver has a reputation for being one of the biggest and best when it comes to walks like this, so get out and help make a difference.

This event seems so fun you won’t even realize it’s also for charity. Your ticket price includes farm-raised, spit-roasted pork with all of the side dishes, desserts and beverages. You can also select a huge variety of wine and beer for a small donation. Plus, once you enjoy all of that delicious pork, you may want to try your hand in the Corn Hole Tournament. For an extra $10 per person or $15 per team, you can show off all of those corn hole skills you learned at the bar last summer. All proceeds for this fun event go to the End Polio Now Campaign. The hosts for this fun event are the Denver Sky High Rotary Club, so head down and give this fun charitable event a try. At the very least, you are sure to get a great dinner.

Bring down the whole family to enjoy a barbecue with burgers, brats and all of the trimmings plus prizes and drawings. The proceeds from the event will benefit Roundup Fellowship’s Community Participation Program for adults with developmental disabilities. If you have a car that you’d like to enter in the show, make sure to register ahead of time for just $20. Then show off your fantastic automotive skills at this fun and charitable event in Denver.

You’ll climb 3,865 stairs while raising money and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It’s a great test of your endurance and physical fitness as you run up the steps of Sports Authority Field. When it’s all done, you’ll celebrate with lots of great food, music and other entertainment as you and your pals toast to a truly impressive physical accomplishment. Plus, it is all for a wonderful cause, one that affects so many people all over the world. 2014 Denver Beer Olympics

Organize your Olympic team for this event. You’ll need two males and two females for this one, as you and your pals have a blast in beer-drinking events. Points will be awarded for each event, which will test a variety of drinking skills, endurance and other skills. You don’t have to drink for this event, but it is the Beer Olympics and the beer is included in your admission, so you may as well have fun and enjoy yourself. This crazy and fun event would be awesome on its own, however proceeds also benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, so not only is it an incredibly fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon, but you’ll also be doing some good for an important cause. Just make sure to bring a designated driver for this one.
