Ballet Nouveau Colorado is one of the most exciting and up-and-coming new dance companies in Colorado. It was established in 1992, yet has recently grown to national attention, including being named in Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch" dance companies. This company brings both classic dance pieces and new and innovative modern dance to the stage with pieces like "The Nutcracker," "Intersection," "Love in the Digital Age" and a series of Rock Ballets in which dancers perform to the music of Queen, INXS and David Bowie. Kim Robards Dance is another modern take on traditional dance in Denver. Established in 1987 as Colorado Repertory Dance Company, it made the change to Kim Robards in 1993 and has been seeing success ever since. All dance is the original choreography of Artistic Director Kim Robards, a nationally- and internationally-recognized artist. Kim Robards presents a variety of ballet, modern dance and training in her intimate and welcoming dance space.

Cleo Parker Robinson Dance is an institution in Denver. This internationally-recognized dance ensemble is lead by Cleo Parker Robinson herself, an acclaimed dance artist in these parts. Robinson has served as a cultural ambassador all over the world, been honored at the Kennedy Center and even served on the President's National Council on the Arts. The professional dance ensemble offers a variety of dance productions from well-known and classic favorites to modern dance and traditional African dance.

If you are willing to drive just a bit outside of Denver, then you will be rewarded by the wonderful Boulder Ballet company. Boulder Ballet is Boulder's premier professional dance company and ballet school, offering beautiful performances at locations throughout the Boulder area. Established in 1983, Boulder Ballet brings such classics as "The Nutcracker" and "Cinderella" to the stage, as well as other more modern performances like "Storybook Ballet" and "Ballet in the Park."
