Top Outdoor Basketball Courts In Denver

Denver has some of the best year-round weather that allows residents to play outdoors almost any day. For those who like to spend their time playing basketball, there are numerous outdoor courts all over the city, making it as simple as picking the area you'd like to play in. The following picks are all located in parks throughout the metro Denver area. They are all open to the public, but you may have to jump into a pickup game if you want to touch the court.

Located just off I-25 near Quincy, this park is on the southeast side of town and quite a hidden gem. The one, well-maintained basketball court can often be seen used for a lively game. Because it's off the beaten bath, there are many times when you can find the court abandoned if you want to work on your jump shot or layup in private.

This park, located in the east Denver on Monaco, is a nice mix of city park and rugged wild park. There is a long walking or biking path surrounding the park that almost emulates a mountainous trail and in the enormous park are some very well-kept basketball courts. James A. Bible is rarely heavily populated but many locals do use the court, so be ready for a riveting game.

Wash Park is a local favorite. The convenient location in the middle of the city, the beautiful flowers and the sheer size make it beloved by many residents and visitors alike. The basketball courts are located on the western side of the park, by the tennis courts, and just north of Grasmere Lake. Because Wash Park is so popular, you will want to go early, especially on weekends, if you want any chance of hitting the court.

Aurora's Del Mar Park is almost 40 acres of sports complex. With football, tennis, baseball and basketball represented, it's the perfect park for the whole family. If balling is your passion, Del Mar boasts two full courts that are often occupied by some pretty talented players. When you want to up your game, Del Mar Park is the perfect place to partake in some friendly competition.

The park provides nothing else, except a restroom, ensuring that only serious ballers come here. For a real game, with no other distractions, this park in eastern Aurora is a must.
