Denver Broncos Podcast

There is no denying it — Denver is a sports town, and the Denver Broncos are the talk of the town most of the year. You can get tons of information about upcoming games, stats, rankings and more just by tuning into the Denver Broncos Podcast. It’s the best place to keep your football fix going from Tuesday through Saturday as you get the insider take on highlights from the season, player interviews, press conferences and more. These podcasts are all free and released very regularly, so there is no shortage of new football talk to go around.

Reel Nerds Podcast

As big as football is in the Mile High City, so is nerd culture, as proven by the latest record-breaking attendance at last year’s Denver Comic-Con. If you’ve got a love of all things science fiction, fantasy and pop-culture, then you’ll want to check out the Reel Nerds Podcast, which is “unofficially the official podcast of the Denver Comic-Con.” Why tune in year-round when the Con itself is only in July? Well, if you’re a mega-fan like so many others, you’re already thinking about the upcoming convention and what kind of cosplay you’ll come up with, who will be attending and everything else nerd related.

The Narrators

What started in 2010 as a small live storytelling show at Denver’s (now closed) Paris on the Platte has become one of the most popular podcasts in Colorado. Founded by local comedian Andrew Orvedahl, The Narrators now records a live monthly podcast at the Buntport Theater, hosted by hilarious actors Ron S. Doyle and Erin Rollman along with lots of visiting actors, comedians, musicians, writers and more, all sharing stories from their daily lives centered on one specific monthly theme. You can check it out live on the third Wednesday of every month, or listen in with the recorded podcasts any time you like.

These Things Matter

Another award-winning local podcast, These Things Matter is all about Denver’s creative community. Comedian Kevin O’Brien and former director Taylor Gonda started the podcast in 2012 with the goal of exploring pop culture and all things creative in the Mile High City. They’ve branched into so many topics that they’re too numerous to list, but they always try to include a local tie, and you’ll often spot these talented folks recording live at various big Denver events. If you’ve never tuned in to These Things Matter, here’s another free podcast that is totally worth digging into.
