Adult slushies are making a comeback. Cocktail masters around Denver have crafted a twist on the usual blended beverage from restaurants like Linger, Tamayo and Viewhouse. But Swanky's is still the go-to for frozen drinks before or after a baseball game. Here's a list of some of the best frozen drinks in Denver.

Linger has an array of frozen beverages to choose from, but this one is a standout. (Courtesy of Linger)

Linger
2030 W. 30th Ave.
Denver, CO 80211

Linger's rooftop is officially open! As eclectic as the restaurant and bar levels, the rooftop features a renovated RV serving as the kitchen and bar. The bar staff still turns out incredible concoctions from tight quarters, including the infamous Frozen Mai Tai. Considered the signature drink of summer on the Linger rooftop, the Mai Tai is a smooth, frozen cocktail made with amaretto, rum (light and dark), orange curacao, lime and mint. Mai Tais are rarely served frozen, which makes this cocktail even more special - that and the two-drink maximum of this summertime sipper.

Tamayo has so many different margs to choose from with a variety of flavors as well! (Courtesy of Tamayo)

Tamayo
1400 Larimer St.
Denver, CO 80202

Tamayo reopened in the spring of 2013 after a lengthy remodel. This two-story restaurant in Larimer Square has an incredible view of the mountain range from its spacious rooftop seating, creating a perfect perch to indulge on a frosty cocktail. Tamayo's fresh fruit margaritas are made with tequila blanco and your choice of the following fresh fruits: strawberry, mango, passion fruit, guava, blood orange and watermelon. The margarita can also be ordered regular and with tamarind puree; offering a variety of tasty ways to cool down a hot summer day.

Viewhouse features multiple levels to indulge in a frozen cocktail. The rooftop received a full redesign just in time for summer offering fun in the sun and loads of cocktail choices. The Coconut Raspberry Colada blends Cruzan coconut rum, fresh coconut water, lemon juice, raspberry, pina colada and ice cream for some sweet, yet tart, frothy goodness. Viewhouse also perked up its menu and happy hour with some summer-centric food and drink.

Swanky's

Known for its plethora of blended drinks, Swanky's is a prime pre- and post-baseball game destination across from Coors Field. Many go just for the frozen concoctions alone, but the bar food continues to get solid reviews and Swanky's is a prime spot for any type of bar crawl. Frozen cocktails include favorites ranging from the Blended White Russian to the Big Lebowski to the Dreamsicle. Be careful of brain freeze!
