Forest Room 5 is a Zagat rated bar in downtown Denver. This literal watering whole has a rustic, woodsy setting and a very laid-back vibe. The arboraceous exterior and interior features tree stump stools, unfinished wood, forest décor and a babbling water feature. They have a terrific menu of artisan drinks and crafty happy hour snacks like truffle fries and sliders. Stop by for their happy hour deals from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. Enjoy their shady outdoor space. It will remind you of camping as a child. The only difference now is you have a drink in your hand and much better food.

The Tavern Downtown is another great bar with an awesome outdoor space. Directly located across the street from Coors Field doesn’t hurt either. Come by after the game to continue the party or watch the game there at the tavern on one of their numerous, huge flat-screens. The multi-level sports bar also has a breezy rooftop patio where you can grab a drink and enjoy the fun in the sunshine. The Tavern Downtown also serves up a full menu from the grill and even Sunday brunch. The sizable menu features starters like calamari and buffalo wings, entrees like burgers, tacos, pizza and sandwiches, and the brunch menu features classic favorites like biscuits and gravy and huge skillets. Linger is another cool Denver restaurant with an even more amazing outdoor space. This Zagat rated restaurant was once a mortuary but is now a trendy neighborhood locale with a delicious menu. The interior is minimal with exposed wood beams on high ceilings and large booths with unfinished wood tables. Their mostly organically sourced bill of fare features culinary creations from all corners of the globe. Try the Moroccan lamb kabobs from Africa, the sesame barbecue tacos or some lemon grass pot stickers from Asia. Linger also serves lunch at killer prices and endless mimosas on the weekends at great deals. Their drink list is even larger than the menu and has everything from inspired cocktails like the Streets of Pueblo which features tequila, Ancho Reyes, grilled pineapple, Campari and lime, to wines, gluten free beers, ciders and spirits. The rooftop bar is a destination of its own with an old van turned bar, plenty of relaxing seating and commanding views.
