With various events including 5K runs, a parade and the ever popular Pridefest, Pride Month makes for a great time in Denver. Along with this event, there are many others in the Denver and Boulder areas throughout the month of June. Whether you’re into raising money for various charities that are important to the LGBT community by running a 5K or simply want to relax and watch live music, there is an event for you, and there are many bars in which you can hang out following each event.

Another good place to pregame is Annie’s Cafe. This Colfax staple has been serving up great food since 1981, and the restaurant is known for some of the best Bloody Marys in the city. It opens at 8 a.m., which is before the parade, and its location is a quick drive from the east side of the parade route, which goes through Cheesman Park. On Sunday, June 21, the bar will offer excellent drink specials and will host the Denver Divas drag show – another weekly event. This bar has an eclectic mix of people, so you and your friends can go hang out, and everyone will have a fun time. Learn to dance like a cowboy and return for one of the city’s most fun drag shows.
