In north Denver you'll find the neighborhood hangout, Billy's Inn and with it some traditional bar food, like peel-and-eat shrimp and deviled eggs. It also offers plenty of Mexican fare including great seafood tacos with fillings which include lobster, shrimp or mahi-mahi. Check out the grilled hot avocado melt sandwich or the basket of veggie fries if you're a vegetarian.

Bonnie Brae has a reputation of some of the pizza in town and you can certainly find some pie for a snack but you also have a great variety of appetizers, including fried mushrooms. There's a good variety of salads as well and perhaps the best Thousand Island dressing in the metro area. If you're feeling in need of comfort food there's always pot roast and baked ham.

The Cherry Cricket is a landmark in the Cherry Creek neighborhood and it wins top honors for its burgers. Get ready to order one exactly the way you want with any topping you can imagine. You can load up with onion rings, fries or mix it up with an order for frings. You'll find plenty of other snacks (or "Horzidurvees") like wings with several levels of hotness as well as chips, guac & salsa. There's even a veggie basket if you're feeling guilty about those alcoholic calories.

Yes, we know it's a national chain but we still can't resist all the offerings from the Yard House (and that does include the extensive beer menu.) This is upscale bar food where you can get great ahi tuna alongside some of the best tomato soup out there. You'll also find great salads in two sizes plus sliders even Grandma can't pass up (she prefers the Bernaise ones.) And just in case you have a bar food sweet tooth, check out the tiny desserts. (There's chocolate hiding in that creme brulee.)
