The B.L.T. at Vert Kitchen takes the classic recipe and does those few simple ingredients very, very well. The sandwich arrives at your table piled high with lots of very thick bacon, and it’s all topped off with bibb lettuce, fresh tomato and mozzarella. If you want to make it a little fancier, opt for some avocado for an extra couple of dollars, but the clean, classic B.L.T. is truly something spectacular here. The ingredients are all locally-grown and 100 percent organic. It’s the fine attention to detail as the chefs here carefully craft each sandwich into a work of pure art. Just go and try this B.L.T. and you’ll know why Vert Kitchen has been voted among the best sandwich shops in Denver time and time again.

The B.L.T. here is called The Casanova, probably because you’ll fall in love with it after just one bite. The bacon is the star here, hickory smoked and packed with flavor. It’s served the classic way with fresh tomatoes, lettuce and creamy mayonnaise. You can also make it a B.L.A.T. by adding fresh avocado. For a sandwich this good, you’ll be amazed at the low price. In fact, you’ll probably want to order two.

When you want to up your B.L.T. game, head over to Uber Eats to try the incredibly tasty Pork Belly B.L.T. Uber Eats has kicked the traditional bacon here in favor of moist and flavorful pork belly. It’s served with spicy arugula, tomato, red onions and topped with a sherry vinaigrette and basil aioli. Sure, this version of the B.L.T. is a lot more fancy, but when you take your first bite of these perfect crafted ingredients, you’ll wonder why more people weren’t offering a pork belly version all along. Everything at this great neighborhood restaurant is worth trying, but this special Pork Belly B.L.T. is worth the visit alone.

You can’t really talk about any pork-centric dish in Denver without mentioning The Berkshire. This fantastic local hot spot does every kind of pork you can imagine, and it does it very well. Everything on this menu is an homage to the other white meat, and you can easily get lost going through the large menu as you sample all the amazing dishes. You can have your B.L.T. a few different ways here. Try the B.L.T. Burger, which adds a fresh beef patty (or opt for the Kurobuta pork patty) along with garlic bacon, romaine lettuce, fresh tomatoes and bacon mayonnaise. Or go for the classic version, the traditional B.L.T. with applewood smoked bacon, bacon mayonnaise, romaine lettuce and fresh tomatoes, served on sourdough. You can also upgrade to pork belly for a little more.

From simple and inexpensive to up-scale and luxurious, the B.L.T. can work at any level. If you need proof of a high-end B.L.T. done right, check out Acorn and the Oak Grilled Pork Belly B.L.T. This is unlike any B.L.T. you’ve ever had before. Instead of bacon, you get perfectly cooked pork belly. Instead of regular tomatoes, it’s served with fried green tomatoes, and no regular mayonnaise here. It’s topped with sambal aioli, fresh arugula and avocado.
