Top Shopping Attractions

The Las Vegas Strip is the heart of the best shopping the area has to offer. Visitors will be able to shop from unique hotel shops to upscale shopping centers located within the different hotels. No matter what shoppers are looking for, The Strip is the place to go. Top shopping attractions on the Las Vegas Strip include Encore Esplanade, Fashion Show, Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally's, Le Boulevard at Paris and the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian.

Those are just some of the most popular shops along The Strip. That does not mean they are the only must-see shopping attractions in the area. Other must-see shopping attractions include The LINQ, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, Promenade Shops at the Bellagio and Wynn Esplanade.

Though the Las Vegas Strip is the most popular among shopping destinations in the area, there are several other locations where shoppers can explore. Many of these locations are off the Las Vegas Strip, however, they are still must-see attractions. Popular off-Strip shopping venues include The District at Green Valley Ranch, Downtown Summerlin and Trivoli Village.

Clark County is home to many different malls, including outlet malls. Plenty of the malls in the area offer visitors opportunities for shopping, dining and entertainment. Many of the shopping malls are located in top tourist areas of the city, including The Strip, but there are still many other malls located in Las Vegas and in neighboring Henderson. Shopping at outlet centers has become increasingly popular. These shopping venues make it possible to shop from top retailers at a fraction of the cost. Budget-Friendly Tips

If at all possible, bring plenty of cash with you, or plan to use debit or credit cards when shopping in Vegas. This is mostly because you will want to avoid stopping at any of the casino or high tourist area ATMs. Fees on these machines can be anywhere from $3 to $5 per transaction. There are many bank branches nearby that are cheaper, but you will have to drive away from the main tourist areas.

If traveling on a budget, try to avoid making purchases at casino shops. Prices in these locations can be a bit high, especially when compared to the prices available on similar items at nearby outlet centers. For basic items, there are plenty of Walmarts located just a short drive away from the downtown Las Vegas area.

While in Las Vegas, visitors can pick up local publications and coupon books. Publications, such as I Love Las Vegas Magazine, have coupons for local restaurants, stores and attractions. These coupons can help visitors save money when shopping during their stay.
