There is nothing sweeter than an afternoon of baseball, and Opening Day, April 4, is right around the corner. Bonus for the adults, Coors Field offers a wide variety of food and drink including some good micro-brews on tap and by the bottle. There is absolutely nothing better than a hot dog and popcorn for the kids and a cold beer and a dog for dad. Arrive early for batting practice and bring the kids down to the field for their shot at scoring an autograph and a chance to meet their heroes. Coors Field is beautifully designed with plenty of seating with great views of the field. The seats from the Rockpile are not spectacular but how great is it that Coors Field offers a section of seating that anyone can afford? The new Rooftop Deck Project is in the works where visitors will have an added 38,000 square feet of luxury space to enjoy panoramic views of the Front Range and Downtown, a new restaurant and bar.

A visit to the Butterfly Pavilion is a day filled with exploration and wonder. Relive those fond childhood memories of chasing butterflies and daring to touch those creep-crawly insects. It also hosts birthday parties for kids ages two to 12 where the guests get a private party room, general admission to the exhibits, invitations and more. Guests can supply their own food and drink with a bonus for the adults; alcohol is allowed.

Geared towards the little ones, the Denver Children's Museum is the place to bring the kiddos full of energy and wonder to explore. The museum even has an area for infants where parents can let the babies roam and crawl until they are completely out of steam. The Children's Museum boasts a very diverse book collection in the Clubhouse with characters of kids from all walks of life and even has a bubble station where the kids wear lab coats. For those looking for a place to host a birthday party, the museum offers a nice party room including decorations and activities.
