Denver Spring Comedy Preview

The Comedy Works South at The Landmark DTC is one of the newest comedy houses around. This new comedy club is about 15 minutes south of its sister location in downtown Denver and you'll find it's worth the trek. Comedy Works South has lost of space, decent parking and facilities for private parties. The food is excellent (remember that all shows require a two drink minimum,) and the comedy talent is some of the best in the nation. Here are some great acts coming through this spring.

Nightlife & Music, Spring Comedy John Heffron

John Heffron is a sensational comic with serious acting roots. He has done it all from comedy television on MTV, FX, NBC and E! to serious film work as seen on the movie "Gettysburg." For Colorado fans, Heffron performed (and rocked the house) for HBO's Comedy Festival in Aspen, CO. Denver audiences will love hearing his stories of how he survived his upbringing in Michigan and will bring an edge to every show he books.

Tom Papa is one funny and talented comedian, actor and writer with a long list of comedic accomplishments including surviving a reoccurring role on "The New Adventures of Old Christina." Tom has a sharp wit, outlandish personality and tours with the best in the business--Jerry Seinfeld. He's made his rounds with top late night shows including "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Late Show with David Letterman." Tracy Morgan is not for the timid or the easily offended. He's a laugh-riot with a raunchy show that has no shame. Morgan is an comic meteor with major appearances on NBC's "30 Rock," "Saturday Night Live" and films such as "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back," "Little Man" and most recently, "Cop Out." Don't miss this limited engagement.

Jake Johannsen has a unique, intelligent comedic flair that has landed him on "Late Night with David Letterman" over 40 times. He tells hilarious stories and tops them off with ironic wit. Jake will soon be appearing in the movie adaptation of the book, "Breakfast of Champions." Ralphie May is one of the hottest comics in the country right now and has garnered a huge following since his appearance on "Last Comic Standing".
