Across the street from the Brown Palace Hotel, Trinity Grille might be geared for the business elite, but they offer a relaxed atmosphere and a Happy Hour that includes some free food that anyone can enjoy. Stepping into the business-casual setting, customers can loosen up their ties and get ready for a treat. Trinity Grille offers free hors d'oeuvres from the talents of its two resident Hyde Park, New York Culinary Institute of America chefs; these include a cheese plate, vegetable plate and hot plates that vary according to the chefs' whims. They also offer a dollar off of their moderately priced drink menu during Happy Hour. A culinary treat not to be missed, Trinity Grille's free hors d'oeuvres Happy Hour runs Tuesday through Friday, 4 pm to 6 pm. Trinity Grille itself is open Monday through Friday, 11 am to 9 pm.

Charlie Browns offers free all-you-can-eat pulled pork (during the summer) and chicken wings on Fridays that go a long way toward curing that afternoon grumbling in the tummy. Located at the bottom of the former Colburn Hotel, Charlie Brown's was once a regular drinking hole for Beat writing legends Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady. Still going strong, the piano bar serves up two-for-one domestic beers and well drinks on the first round seven days a week. This hotspot also hosts a full menu of Greek, American and Mexican food for when the hot wings or pulled pork just isn't enough. Charlie Brown's is open Monday through Friday, 10 am to 2 am; Saturday and Sunday, 9 am to 2 am.
