AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – Aurora Police say a 2-year-old boy drowned on Friday in a pond at Expo Park. Officers found the boy and pulled him from the water and performed CPR, but they were not successful.

Police say he was at a church event nearby before he drowned.

“He came from a local church, they were doing some sort of event for a graduation,” police said.

Police say they are looking at surveillance video in the area to learn how the child ended up at the pond.
