LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4)– A bear was found snoozing high in a tree in a Littleton neighborhood. The bear was spotted napping in a tree above two fruit trees.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife said the bear likely snacked on apples and peaches before settling down for a nap near C-470 and Platte Canyon Road.
Wildlife officers recommend picking fruit before it ripens and making sure to clean up fallen fruit so as not to attract bears. This time of year, bears are trying to bulk up before hibernation.
