Now visitors can be on campus but they must wear masks regardless of vaccination status.

The Air Force Academy was declared a national landmark in 2004 and is a popular tourist destination. Typically about a million people each year visit the campus.

While the campus is open,  the Cadet Chapel remains closed for repairs. That work is supposed to be completed by the end of 2023.  The Air Force Academy says that chapel is the most visited man-made tourist attraction in Colorado.
