Ralph MD Makes His Final Rounds At Children's Hospital After Launching Medical Dog Program
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Ralph MD is making his final rounds at Children's Hospital Colorado. The "doctor" helped launch the hospital's medical dog program in 2019.
The program features a number of highly-trained service dogs who visit patients and their families. Ralph was the hospital's first full-time hospital dog.
In Ralph's case, that meant helping more than 19,000 patients. He not only offered comfort but also demonstrated medical procedures to make them seem less frightening to children.
