'Bitten' By COVID: Rockies Legend Larry Walker Cancels All-Star Week Visit To Denver

(CBS4) - Colorado Rockies legend Larry Walker was apparently planning some kind of surprise for fans in Denver during All-Star Week -- but had to cancel after catching COVID-19.

"Sorry Denver!!! I was very much looking forward to attending festivities over the next few days," the former Rockies right fielder tweeted Sunday night. "Even had an awesome little surprise Tuesday …"

"But unfortunately I have been bitten by the big ugly animal called Covid 19!!!"
