PITKIN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Pitkin County is using cameras to monitor wildfires. Commissioners approved a pilot program to install high-definition cameras around the Roaring Fork Valley.
According to the Aspen Times, the cameras will scan 360 degrees every minute in order to help detect wildfires that are burning.
These cameras are already being used in parts of California. The cameras will be installed in a couple of weeks.
